75% of every dollar raised by Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale stays right here in our 3 county service area (Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties) to fund treatment, screening and education programs.

Since 1999 Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale has funded more than $7.6 million dollars in local programs and $2.5 million dollars in national research grants.

More than $3 million has been awarded to research in our area, including a research grant to the University of Miami for $599,997 for the Evaluation of Genetic Risk in Caribbean Women with Breast and Ovarian Cancer.
